As the Medical Billing Account Manager you will use your excellent organizational and analytical skills to provide support to the Operations department who is responsible for full service medical billing services to our Independent Physicians. The position is responsible for the overall performance and daily management of one or more assigned clients. You love working in a fast paced office environment and enjoy the flexibility of working in teams or independently.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties




  • Processing of daily insurance/patient correspondences
  • Accounting for and balancing all payments and received and any miscellaneous payment posting functions necessary
  • Follow up of outstanding accounts receivables - following up on outstanding claims and maximize appropriate reimbursements
  • Credit balances - identification and review of credit balances
  • Responding to calls from patients regarding patient balances
  • Charge Entry - preparing medical charge slips for charge entry
  • Claims management - submission of claims, reviews claims editor and able to communicate any issues to clients to support clean claims
  • Provides front office workflow recommendations to clients
  • Advises clients on cash flow projections and practice trends
  • Maintains high level of client satisfaction through effective communication, education and understanding of client's needs/issues
  • Oversees outsourced functions and monitor for efficiency and timeliness to maintain performance standards
  • Runs and interprets special reports to meet clients' requests
  • Responsible for overall accounts and receivable to maintain performance objectives
  • Acts as a liaison between patient and client's office regarding billing-related questions
  • Responsible for Month End Process - ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Facilitates monthly/quarterly meetings with clients

 

Desired Qualifications


  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • *Minimum of 2 years with EPIC platform experience a must*
  • Minimum of 2-4 years direct healthcare experience or equivalent
  • Familiarity with medical billing terminology.
  • Understanding of basic debits and credits.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office/Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail
