'Ekahi Care Management (ECM) aims to develop and deliver disease management, care management, and well-being programs. ECM is innovating healthcare here in Hawaii. The Ekahi Ornish Program is the first program that this organization is delivering that has been scientifically proven to reverse the effect of heart disease and the symptoms of those who have or are at risk of a chronic health condition. It is a 9 week program that teaches a foundation of a healthy lifestyle focusing on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and group support. Ekahi Wellness is a new specialty clinic with the focus on diabetes management mixing technology with frequent interpersonal touches. Team oriented approach to move the total cost care needle in the right direction 

The Front Desk Receptionist is an essential front-line member of the Program delivery team and is responsible for checking in all of the participants and assisting the team with administrative work.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties


  • Checking in participants into the programs and collect co-payments
  • Initializes and manages the potential participant process
  • Assists with billing, reimbursement, and insurance management protocols
  • Assists with the data collection process and secure storage of data, enters patient information into online medical records and billing platform
  • Administratively supports and participates as a member of the collaborative clinical delivery team
  • Contributes to a high level of participant satisfaction
  • Complies with HIPAA privacy laws and ensures patient confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as directed
  • Attends and participates in weekly team meetings/support specialist meetings. Attends monthly full team meetings

Qualifications


  • 3-5 years of front desk experience at medical/dental clinic desired
  • Excellent computer skills and entry-level experience with information system technology
  • Exemplary interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology
  • Exhibits sensitivity to the needs of participants
  • Desire the ability to work in patient-centered, team-oriented environment
  • A passion for health promotion and wellness
  • Able to work independently, self motivated and flexible to changing processes for efficiency
