As the Medical Billing Account Manager you will use your excellent organizational and analytical skills to provide support to the Operations department who is responsible for full service medical billing services to our Independent Physicians. The position is responsible for the overall performance and daily management of one or more assigned clients. You love working in a fast paced office environment and enjoy the flexibility of working in teams or independently.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties


  • Processing of daily correspondence, BDCL's & CRTP's - includes receipt, prep and verification of Perot's processing.
  • Accounting for and balancing bank deposits off of confirmed bank deposit sheets. Confirmation of payment and adjustments posted by Perot. Any miscellaneous payment posting functions necessary. Working all denials & credits at time of review. Clearing and approving batches in VIMS and Sharepoint.
  • Weekly processing reports - delinquent accounts, bad address report, pending action requests.
  • Follow up of outstanding accounts receivables - working OCR report, pending review action requests created by Perot & working all action request responses from the office.
  • Credit balances - identification and review of credits on patient accounts and notification to office.
  • Responding to calls from patients generated by PAR department.
  • Charge Entry - prepping of charges for scanning, running verification totals, communicating with office to resolve any missing or incomplete data. Clearing and approving batches in VIMS and Sharepoint
  • Claims
  • Month end processing - when this is performed, other responsibilities are on hold
  • Client meeting and communications

 

Desired Qualifications


  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-4 years direct healthcare experience or equivalent
  • Familiarity with medical billing terminology.
  • Understanding of basic debits and credits.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office/Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail
