Primary Responsibilities and Duties


  • Design, implement, code, test and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code.
  • Development of Web and Java/J2EE based applications Unit and integration, testing. Investigation into and resolution of reported defects
  • Develop effective and efficient PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers and functions according to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to plan, design, develop, test and maintain technical solutions for Oracle Applications/E-Business suite including, work flows and data conversions.
  • Develop, refine and tune integrations between applications.
  • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
  • Support software development and test teams throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Recommend improvements to existing system functionality and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications


  • Must have 5+ year's experience of demonstrated database development in an Oracle environment.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in technical field (e.g., Computer Science or related discipline).
  • Java, J2EE, Oracle Net 8, SQL, PL/SQL, Data Warehousing, ETL, Unix/Sun Solaris, Oracle Designer/2000
  • Expertise with Oracle Workflow and Alerts.
  • Experience in developing interfaces with third party systems.
  • Knowledge of the Unix/Sun Solaris environment.
  • Experience with Oracle 10g and above.
  • Experience developing and implementing canned reports using standardized reporting tools.
  • Experience scripting ad hoc queries/reports.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering complex initiatives, meeting quality and time expectations.
  • Ability to work well in a strong collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a consulting environment preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Quick learner who takes initiative.
