Primary Responsibilities and Duties


  • Responsible for the architecture and layout of complex Unix computing environments, both on-prem and Cloud configurations.
  • Configure, install and maintain Unix Servers and select applications in an agile and rapid development environment.
  • Develop migration plans for major system upgrades.
  • Support architecture and implementation of Unix system environments and infrastructures.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and other technology teams to develop, migrate and manage services in AWS cloud environment.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and implement automation solutions.
  • Perform troubleshooting, change management, and system upgrades including firmware, OS and application updates while minimizing impact to the business.
  • Assist in upgrading, installing, and configuring cloud solutions for Windows and Linux servers.
  • Create and maintain documentation including policies, procedures and technical.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications


  • Must have 5+ year's experience with implementation, administration and support with Unix systems.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in technical field (e.g., Computer Science or related discipline).
  • Experience implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex technical problems.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering complex initiatives, meeting quality and time expectations.
  • Ability to work well in a strong collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a consulting environment preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Quick learner who takes initiative.
