We are seeking a Medical Billing Supervisor to join our team. If you enjoy problem solving, are a strategic thinker and believe in taking initiative to get things done, we are looking for you! The Medical Billing Supervisor works closely with management to effectively oversee the medical billing team. This includes analyzing productivity, providing support, escalation, and coaching team members to success. This position requires independent action and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for department outcomes. As an effective Medical Billing Supervisor, you enjoy working at a faster than average pace and can adjust quickly to changing conditions, while coming up with practical solutions.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervision of the medical billing team, supporting the team and account to hit optimal performance. This includes:
    • (Progressively) Learning and serving as the subject matter expertise in Revenue Cycle Management for all medical billing team members.
    • Managing resource capacity, role, and skill definitions along with corresponding metrics.
    • Preparing reports as requested by management, including monthly key performance indicator reports.
    • (Progressively) Able to understand and troubleshoot within the ConnxtMD practice management system.
    • Collaborating with offshore support team to resolve issues.
    • Reviewing claims editor and working with various operation teams to submit claim edit enhancements.
    • Required to attend mandatory training (e.g. HIPAA, Personal Development, etc.) as assigned.
    • Performing other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Embody TeamPraxis' cultural anchors: Healthy, Humble, Hungry, and Ability to Execute.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 3+ years medical billing, managed services, or health care experience.
  • Proficient in MS Suite of Apps.
  • Excellent typing and 10-key skills.
  • Understanding of pertinent regulatory guidelines such as HIPAA.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates the following capabilities: Accountability and dependability, strong problem solving and decision-making skills, self-development, high attention to detail and quality of work, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Physical requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Work schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday (Flex schedule available upon manager approval)
