We are seeking a Director of Business Development and Sales to join our team. In this role, you will use your excellent organizational and internal customer service skills to provide support to the Revenue Cycle Management operations department, who is responsible for full service medical billing services to our Independent Physicians. You love working in a fast-paced office environment and enjoy the flexibility of working in teams or independently.


Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Business Development:

  • Manage the development of new business opportunities
  • Take a lead role in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term in accordance with targets
  • Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new-venture integration
  • Motivate the team, track performance, and report metrics
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business-value analysis, and negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals
  • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company

Lead Generation and Direct Sales:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of a deal including: all sales activities, billing, service agreement, and implementation handoff
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts & meet and/or exceed sales targets
  • Generate qualified prospects and build relationships/network in the healthcare, corporate or payor space.
  • Use prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach to prospects via email, calling, social selling, and more
  • Build and implement sales processes and procedures
  • Build and maintain company sales forecasts, sales reports, and pipeline reports
  • Schedule and lead client discovery meetings

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers, and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy
  • Educate prospects on the value of TeamPraxis' products and services and how it can help them become more successful
  • Build and maintain a deep and comprehensive familiarity with TeamPraxis' offerings and product roadmap
  • Provide client feedback to the team for roadmap, messaging, and lead generation impacts
  • Openness to feedback and a desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Additional responsibilities as needed to fit the needs of the company

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years' work experience in a Sales and/or Business Development Leadership role
  • Proven track record of identifying prospect needs and successfully implementing solutions
  • Established connections within the healthcare industry
  • Proven results in ability to repeatedly achieve or exceed sales quota
  • Experience selling to healthcare organizations and teams
  • Experience negotiating partnerships with other healthcare vendors
  • Experience (or strong interest) in working in a startup environment
  • Experience in building and implementing sales processes and procedures
  • Able to travel - approximately 20% travel
  • Able to effectively work remotely and retain a reliable internet connection
  • Clear and concise spoken and written communication style
  • Strong relationship and rapport-building skills at all levels within an organization
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility, resiliency, and adaptability
  • Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Office365 and ability to learn sales tools
